I
came to D.C. because I needed a break for myself, and I wanted to visit
a good friend of mine. Most of the mornings would be me exploring the
town on my own and learning to use the transit. I've got to say that I
loved going to each museum and walking around D.C. in the am.

Smithsonian
Loved it! Perfect day to spend a day. I wasn't prepared for all of the walking but it was well worth it. This cluster of museums has fulfilled my lifetime quota for museums. My Itinerary [and comments!]

China Town
This is not a China Town. This is a sad plaza full of Americanized Chinese food. Needless to say, I am disappoint. With all the Asians in D.C., I know this cannot be the only Chinatown in the area, though.
More Museums - White House, Washington Monument, Spy Museum
Eh. It was the White House. What more can you say? I, just like everyone else, peered through the black bars to the white house that's a mile away from me.
Partying - Bar Hopping
I had a lot of fun going out with my friend. I can't believe how many eligible guys are out there! This is by far the best batch I've encountered (both men and women) based solely on looks and first impressions.
Again Museums - Newseum
This one is actually really cool. I had a great time sifting through all the old articles and headlines, and I'm not one to keep up with current news.
My Impression of D.C. overall -
When I initially arrived in VA, I was very surprised to see how 'clean' everything was. This was a very quaint town. Although stores seemed a bit distant from each other and the town was 'closed' at night, I found it quite relaxing.
Definitely a Yuppie town, but I don't consider that a bad thing.
