My Journey to an MBA: S01E01 - Pilot

When I was going through undergraduate at GSU, I never considered the fact that I would be going back to school to get a MBA.

There were many factors that made me head down this path:
1. Family influence - Asian parents are extremely strict and nagging. I have been lucky enough to have parents that have accepted my average intelligence and path to a meaningless corporate job. However, while they are not as strict, they still nag. It doesn't help that my sister and brother have gotten post-bachelor degrees. I must follow that path as well.
2. Let's be honest. Money. I want to be move to the west coast, and in order to do that- I need money. A lot of it.
3. Jumping the ladder. My seniors have always said "You want to get ahead, you have to pay your dues." That means the grueling work, the low pay, and the minute taking for every meeting I attend. Not that I don't enjoy the mindless data entry, editing, and documentation work, would doesn't? I am kidding. There is always a shortcut to management, and lets be honest, I'm not an extroverted assertive go-getter. I'm a precision, detail oriented, "let's draw out a plan" kind of gal. It will take too long for me to rise to the top. I need a little ommpf to make me stand out. It might be a small one, but I'll take it! (That's not what she said BTW)
4. Career shift. I don't want to stay in IT / Technology.
