Post Dog Day 3: I cried the day I had to bring her back; and it was the first time she looked at me confused. On the way back to clinic, she smiled at me. I wish I took more pictures. I think about her everyday, and hope she is doing well. In the end, I could see that this was the best choice for her. I am giving her an opportunity to be with a family, to be loved, to get the attention she deserves.

Dog Day Minus 3: I really love Tessa. I tell her everyday. She is the reason I look forward to driving home from work. I am going to miss her.


Dog Day 5.5: She’s been coughing alot! It makes me feel like a bad mother. She’s also been ripping up napkins and she jumped on my bed and stained my WHITE comforter! (AGAIN!) She managed to take off her diaper and jump on the bed!! Naughty Girl! :( After work, I ran/jogged with her for a couple of minutes; this tired her out. :) I held her like a baby and rubbed her head. She got sleepy very quickly. I squeeze her and tell her she is loved. She looks at me like she is tired and doesn’t understand why I’m holding her like this. :) She poos faster now. She still follows me room to room. She’s a good girl. <3

Dog Day 6: At the vet. Checking to see if she is still coughing (like she’s trying to puke something out). May not get spayed today if she has infection. Mommy is worried. :(

Other News: I dont want to think about work.


I couldn’t sleep last night because Tessa was coughing and licking herself vigorously. I placed her in her bed next to me so I could watch what she was doing. This morning she was still coughing ALOT. It was as if something was lodged in her throat. :’( She really didn’t want to go in her cage today. I teased her with her bone; even then she was hesitant. :( She has been crying louder and longer each time she goes into the cage

Dog Day: 4 — Tessa went to visit her foster grandparents and auntie Kaliyana. She was stuck in her cage all day and cried loud cries. Firs ttime Tessa barked at someone (my dad); maybe she was just protecting me? We took her for a walk (diarrhea) Kaliyana thinks I should adopt her. Her mom thinks so, too. That’s a big commitment. When I took her home that night, I felt slightly abandoned with a sad child.

Dog Day: 3 — Today was a good day, she bahaved well. :)

Dog Day: 2 — Tessa poops! Valentines’ Day. Lots of kisses from Tessa! :)

Dog Day: 1 — We found her at Harry’s Farmers Market. We bought her lots of stuff. :) Philip and Joey came to visit. They like her.
